   TACID (The Tacoma Coalition of Individuals with Disabilities) has started series of veterans support programs focused on a community-based, no-cost, holistic approach to wellness for active duty, retirees, prior service and family members emphasizing the body, mind, and spirit.
    Activities include:  military stress recovery, Tai/Qi Gong, stress reduction, and PTSD Anonymous.  For information contact:

We are still receiving requests about the availability of spouse/significant-other self-help groups.  This is a reasonable request but we need more volunteers willing to establish and sponsor such meetings.  If you learn of any spouse/significant others groups following the general concept of PTSDA, please let us know.

As an all volunteer run organization, PTSDA is seeking others who are willing to give their time and local efforts to hosting peer-to-peer meetings in their areas.  The more we all can do at the community level, the better the services to our troops and families.
