This is the key component page of this site. In the near future, meeting info will posted by city, state, specific location, times, and local map data. We are presently reviewing new locations in Washington State, particularly in the Puget Sound area near Joint Base Lewis/McChord.
If you have an interest in establishing a PTSD Anonymous self-help group in your area, please inform us of the above specifics.
PTSDA is also trying to link-up with other organizations with community level, peer oriented discussion groups for individuals and family or significant others impacted by military trauma/PTSD.
Please remember, PTSDA is not intended to be a "turnkey program" or a franchise opportunity. It does require local energy, coordination and action.
Stigma(s) of seeking any help remains a crucial factor for our military personnel and those around them. PTSDA discussion groups are intended to confront that problem. |
